YODOODLES, Part 2

Is there an objective reality out there of which each of us sees and lives in a different version preconditioned by nature and nurture ——— or ——— is each version a projection of how the same preconditions shape and locate our contribution to the apparently real hologram of collective consciousness, an objective landscape depicting our radiation of the seemingly internal subjective reality common to all consciousness, the way of all things?

Comments get extra credit!!!

Afterthought, while watching chickens at dawn this morning:
It's the bloody language again, for the seemingly innocent motivation of making conversation we've incised a dualism of reality between subject and object thereby making a differentiation between the nature occurring out there in the material world and the nature of the observer we suppose is encased in the meat we call our own. My always sage friend Mike reminded me of the lessons I learned reading Dancing Wu Li Masters: eastern philosophy has always understood what western physics seems loath to admit — there is no matter in what we have always considered the material world. The stuff of the universe is energy in more or less dense concentrations, the denser of which begin to develop group consciousness identity ——— but it's all the same energy which we have identified as a variety of stuff. We are one, like eyes on a potato, slicing and dicing it up because we've developed this knife with which we cannot stop chopping because we can. Language! Makin' it matter wherever you want to just be. More insidious than Visa. Maybe. Thanks RAW

Um, no. There is no objective reality, this is quite proven by physics, both relativity and quantum. All that you perceive is a subjective reality tunnel, a version of reality that is specific to your perspective.

What allows us to communicate in spite of this, however many diverse perspectives there are: all exist within a single consciousness, which is you, and me, and everyone and everything. We are one connected mind, and the universe is our creation.

Well I might get credit for commenting, but won't get credit for understanding, 'cause I got lost halfway through.

(I did try- but it's 3.45 am- must be tired)

Mike, you got it! See addendum to post.

Cinnamon, it's language's the problem. Nice that you're ready to read at that hour.

If language itself is the problem then perhaps the misuse of language is the answer.
The description of an idea may work better in one language than another; certain jokes cannot be translated; but if we throw words together in an unexpected way they often evoke deeper perceptions.
Ultimately language is all we have to link one mind to another (as we do here in this intangible space where my image of you is undoubtedly inexact but nevertheless I most surely know you on a level defined by your use of this particular language)

Really?

Mike: you seem to imply that music and film are not language?
(I did enjoy the video btw)

Pisces, the link you say language is seems more to be attempts to remind one another of our preexisting oneness, of which Mike speaks.

I fully agree that the solution to the mental snarls we've talked ourselves into can often be unraveled by creative use of the language. Your creative misuse of the language is the most effective I have read since Beelzebub's Tales to His Grandson — and far more accessible.

PI, given your premise, since everything that exists is vibration, the entire universe is nothing but language.

Michael,
A wave of consciousness awakens to eternity and declares itself the beginning by announcing its birth to the sea from which it arose with its first word.

And so Shiva emerges from Shakti, consciousness from energy. But as quantum physics reminds us, there is no difference between the observer and the observed, and relativity tells us that energy is timeless. Thus Shiva and Shakti are one and the same.

Yodood: to be honest, the oneness thing applies on a structural level only - when factoring our species into the equation, I'm not so sure - the word 'aberration' springs to mind.

Mike: To say that everything is vibration is to metafizz (god is the word???) - we don't communicate by vibrating, we need a language to act as a medium, just as this conversation is passing through our (allegedly) common language of English and this electronic medium of on/off switches.
I presume your biblical reference is tongue-in-cheek. :]

Mike Goldman said...

Pisces, my biblical reference was valid metaphor for precisely what you seemed to be advocating, and which I explicated further. You seem to think only human languages count as communication, as if the original vibration was not consciousness. It always has been, and always shall be.

The universe is communication, it is language in the sense that you call a musical film without "words" language.

The Word is OM.

Mike: I'll take your word for it :) Om-mani-padme-hum
